We operated the Ontario QSO Contest from the Dutchman's Cove Marina in Penatanguishene. The purpose of the contest
was two fold, to get as many
contacts as we could and to expose new Hams to some invaluable
experience on radio set up and installation of antennas.

Everyone had a good time operating the club stations. The
morning was spent stringing up various antennas including a military NVIS
antenna that JP brought along, the contest started at 2pm on Saturday. We
had one CW station (manned by J.P. VA3QN) plus three SSB stations which
everyone took turns at.
